Protect

Sportsmen for the Wyoming Range

Wyoming Trout Unlimited is part of a national coalition of sportsmen and women that are focued on protecting Wyoming's signature mountain range, The Wyoming Range, from oil and gas development.  Although we realize that oil and gas development is an important part of Wyoming's economy, we believe that some areas should be kept wild and protected.

We would like to give a special thanks to Senator John Barasso for introducing the 2007 Wyoming Range Legacy Act.  With his help and continued support from concerned citizens, the Wyoming Range will be protected for current and future generations of fish, wildlife, and people.

Responsible Energy Development Symposium

May 21-24, 2008 at the Jackson Lake Lodge
Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

Out of the growing concern over oil and gas development today, a coalition of sporting and conservation interests is hosting a responsible energy development symposium in Jackson Hole, Wyo., May 21-24, 2008.  Through this symposium, we will develop objective, science-based recommendations for policies, practices and procedures that conserve and restore fish, wildlife and water resources while facilitating responsible energy development on public lands in the Rocky Mountain West.
